Summary
Rehab Media Network (RMN) is seeking a Senior Front End Developer (WordPress + React/Next.js Expertise) to join their remote team. The role involves crafting lightning-fast, responsive UIs and building custom WordPress themes while working with modern tools like React and Next.js.
About the Role
As a Senior Front End Developer, you will take ownership of projects from start to finish, working closely with design and backend teams to deliver beautiful, performant, and scalable websites and apps. You will build modern, user-friendly websites and apps using WordPress, ReactJS, and Next.js, develop custom WordPress themes, templates, and Gutenberg blocks, and style interfaces with Tailwind CSS and Bootstrap. You will also integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, optimize performance, debug issues, and contribute to deployment workflows using Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in front-end development, including deep WordPress expertise.
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and the WordPress ecosystem.
- Experience with ReactJS and Next.js, including SSR and dynamic routing.
- Comfortable building responsive UIs with Tailwind CSS and Bootstrap.
- Skilled in custom Gutenberg block development using React.
- Deep understanding of ACF, CPTs, and modern WordPress theme architecture.
- Experience with headless WordPress setups and decoupled front ends.
- Familiar with ElasticSearch, Docker, Git, and local development tools like DDEV or Local.
- Proficient with performance tuning, SEO best practices, and accessibility compliance.
- Comfortable working in server environments (Apache/Nginx) and debugging deployment issues.
- Self-starter with attention to detail and a drive to build great user experiences from the ground up.
