Summary

CGI is seeking a Senior Counsel for State and Local Government and Commercial Contracts to join their U.S. legal team. This role involves providing legal advice and leading contract negotiations with government and commercial clients.

About the Role

As a Senior Counsel, you will support CGI's U.S. Commercial and State/Local Government business by advising on a broad range of government and commercial contracts matters. Your responsibilities will include negotiating large complex IT contracts, assisting internal clients with negotiation strategies, advising on contract compliance, and maintaining close working relationships with business development colleagues. You will work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a small legal team.

About You

Required:

JD from a leading and ABA accredited law school.
Member of at least one State Bar.
6-8 years of law experience at a reputable national law firm and/or in-house.
Working knowledge of commercial and public sector contracting practices in the IT industry.
Ability to lead negotiations with minimal oversight.
Strong written, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred:

Experience in negotiating large complex IT contracts.
Ability to manage multiple contractual matters simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player.
