BioSpace is seeking a Senior Accountant, Revenue Recognition to join their team in Bloomington, IN. The role involves ensuring accurate and timely reporting of revenue in compliance with GAAP and ASC606.
About the Role
As a Senior Accountant, Revenue Recognition, you will manage the monthly revenue close process, perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of revenue-related accounts, prepare and review journal entries, and work with business teams to ensure proper documentation for revenue recognition. You will also assist in audits, provide guidance to junior staff, and contribute to process improvements in revenue accounting.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Two years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Public accounting experience.
- ERP system experience.
- CPA or in-progress CPA.
