Summary
MBP is seeking a NCDOT Transportation Construction Inspector (Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4) to join their team in Raleigh, NC. The role involves providing on-site inspection and quality assurance for various roadway and structure construction projects.
About the Role
As a Transportation Construction Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction work conforms to plans, contracts, specifications, and codes. Your duties will include performing materials testing, basic surveying, maintaining project records, and communicating effectively with contractors and agency personnel. You may also assist in training Construction Inspector Trainees and ensure compliance with traffic control standards.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Must possess OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour certification or obtain within 3 months of hire.
- Minimum four years of relevant experience for Level II Technician, five years for Level III, and seven years for Level IV.
Preferred:
- Certification(s) such as NCDOT Concrete, QMS Roadway, Conventional Density, ABS Sampling, Borrow Pit Sampling, Level II Erosion and Sediment Control.
- Construction related training or coursework in road/bridge construction, civil engineering, project management, or materials.
