About the Role
As a Health Care Assistant, you will be responsible for interviewing, screening, educating, and preparing patients for their appointments. You will facilitate clinic flow, ensure the availability of patient care supplies, perform laboratory and screening procedures, and assist with front desk duties. This position requires effective communication and organization skills to manage various tasks in a medical office environment.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service and supporting the vision and values of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and staff.
- Experience in electronic health records (EHR) and Microsoft Office products.
- CPR certifiable.
Preferred:
- Certification from an accredited medical assistant technical program.
- Experience in reproductive health, family planning, obstetrics, gynecology, or related medical/surgical experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills.
