219 Health Network is seeking a Chaplain I to provide emotional, pastoral, spiritual, and sacramental support to patients, family members, and hospital staff in Hobart, IN.
About the Role
As a Chaplain I, you will visit assigned patients, accept referrals, document care provided, and participate in educational programs. You may offer prayer or reflection based on the patient's life experiences and assist them in understanding life's events as they relate to their spiritual and emotional well-being.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Theology, religious studies, education, counseling, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Completion of a curriculum of theological classes and display of skills and competencies in pastoral care.
- In good standing with the Church by way of ecclesiastical endorsement.
- Sensitivity and stamina to minister to patients with varying physical and mental dysfunctions.
- Experience in working as part of a team and good communication skills.
Preferred:
- Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training.
- Flexibility in work hours, programs, and services.
- Sensitivity and desire to work with patients, families, clergy, and volunteers of varying faith backgrounds.
- Knowledge of and support for the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.
