Terran Orbital Corporation is seeking an experienced AIT Technician - Cable & Harness to join their team in Irvine, CA. The role involves testing, troubleshooting, potting, fabricating, and repairing flight harnesses and avionics systems.
About the Role
As an AIT Technician, Cable & Harness, you will be responsible for using essential tools and test equipment for harness fabrication, working under a microscope, conducting CIRRIS testing, running reports for tracking purposes, soldering, crimping, stripping, and fabricating flight harnesses for spacecraft, performing quality assurance checkouts on flight harness builds, and reading wire harness schematics and assembly drawings.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 to 4 years of experience in harness fabrication
- Experience in operating test equipment used for harness checkouts
- Experience working with epoxy and potting connectors
- J-Std 001 certified
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
Preferred:
- IPC-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620 or NASA STD 8739.4 Certification
- General understanding of electronic components and manufacturing processes
- QA/QC experience
- Ability to maintain patience in challenging situations
